Manuel Olguin

Business Development Officer

Manuel is originally from Mexico City where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Management. Since 2012 Manuel has been the Business Development Officer for Community Futures Nicola Valley. He provides customized business training and counselling services to the Nicola Valley businesses. He is responsible for the planning, marketing, coordination and administration of the Lending Program; and the counselling and monitoring of clients. Manuel is a strong advocate of entrepreneurialism and small business. In 2015, Manuel served as a director with the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce. Since 2015, Manuel has been volunteering at Junior Achievement Canada delivering numerous classes to elementary and high school students. His main goal is to educate students and inspire them to achieve their highest potential. Manuel has lived in the area for the past 10 years and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to be able to work with the Nicola Valley businesses to help find solutions to their business needs. Fran Delaney

Finance & Administration Coordinator

As the Finance & Administration Coordinator, Fran brings over 25 years of financial services experience to the organization, including both private and public sector.  As Fran lived in rural northern communities, she is aware of the unique characteristics of small town living. Fran & Ron made a conscious choice to re-locate here, to Merritt based on location, climate and the relaxed pace.   Fran has been with CFNV since 2011. Mae Ketter

Community Economic Development Coordinator

Mae is the CFNV staff ‘veteran’ with over a decade of experience in economic development – community marketing, investor attraction and special events promotions / capacity building.   A wealth of information on “who’s who” and community history, Mae brings a positive energy to her multi-tasking roles.   Mae is generally the first friendly face to be encountered when visiting our office.   Mae has been involved in Merritt’s exceptional Country Christmas event (and the largest evening parade in BC) for over 10 years.  Phone: 250.378.3923

Joe Nemeth

Administrative Assistance

Joe was born and raised here in the Nicola Valley, attending local school and then finding local work. After twenty five years of residence here in Merritt and several years spent helping run a small business in the downtown, Joe is ecstatic to be a part of Community Futures and assist in their objectives.
